Thirteen CNC centres by name and type

Eight of the thirteen centres work in five axes and five in three axes, from portal machines for long welded structures down to vertical centres for single components.

Five-axis portals up to 60 metres

Portal machining takes the welded structure as it comes out of the welding hall: the part is clamped on the table, referenced to the drawing datum and milled in five axes. The Fooke Endura 1003 works as a dual portal and covers X-axis lengths up to 60 metres.

Operations and parts

Milling, drilling, tapping and turning

The CNC department covers close-tolerance milling, drilling, tapping and turning in aluminium and steel, from a single prototype to a long series.

  • Structural members

Load-bearing beams and frame parts of a carbody shell, machined after welding.

  • Ribs and bolsters

Stiffening ribs and underframe bolsters that support the entire carbody structure.

  • Panels

    Sidewall, roof and floor panels.

  • Series

Prototypes, small and large series, depending on the project.
